connect us with the landscapes we inhabit and with the power of our own hands. In the 21st century, that’s pretty radical.
I’m on a journey to understand where things come from and how they are grown and made. Make Gather Grow is where I share what I learn along the way — through gardening, foraging, crafting, modern homesteading, designing edible landscapes, reclaiming almost-forgotten skills, and writing about local food and traditional foodways.
I’m an urban homesteader, edible landscape designer, project manager, natural dyer and fiber crafter, cheesemaker, former Humanities professor, Finnish expat living in Asheville, NC. Read more about me and my work here.
